Story:

The beginning of Orion's story: An apocalyptic account of attempted murder, deceit, and heartbreak. Orion and Christine Marie were sent to assassinate a group of undercover Resistance fighters, A Union politician and his family. While Christine Marie killed the Resistance spy, Orion found the spy's daughter hiding and spared her life. Christine Marie told their handler (who she was having an illicit affair with) that Orion didn't kill the girl and was then ordered to kill Orion. Orion, feeling that Christine Marie was keeping secrets from him, decided to spy on her while she visited their handlers house. Orion catches them having sex and confronts them. Christine Marie then attacks him without warning. Stabbing him in the chest before kicking him off the building's ledge. Orion falls into the ocean and is swallowed by the currents, presumed to be dead.

The sunsets in his eyes, his heart is left to burn
She stands above his grave, with a black rose in her hand

She sets his black rose on fire, to ensure no return from the grave
The grounds consumed by embers,
She hadn't realized what she had done

She thought to mend the past, hesitates
It's too late, he's on fire

All he has left, are the thoughts, that haunt his afterlife
Why do ghost of the past, bring so much pain today?

As the night comes ashes begin to fall, all life is gone
In this last moment before all is lost for good, hope begins to grow

His hope was faint but still blossomed
She came back just to set it aflame
In a moments weakness she hesitates
Her indecisiveness was the end of all

His heart is like the ashes, from these petals
That she set on fire

The stars begin to blur, with her darkened tears
Where each drop falls, a black rose appears
